Having been trained by his uncle, The Sheik, his fondness for the extreme should come as no surprise. Like his uncle, Sabu never speaks, and is an uncontrollable violent force when let loose upon an opponent. He defined the “extreme” style of ECW by doing countless things that had never been done before. Sabu would springboard off the ropes to the outside and through a table as often as others would bodyslam an opponent. While some would cringe at the sight of barbed wire, Sabu would frequently wrap himself in it and use his own body as a weapon.

Sabu’s efforts were not without consequence though. During a match with The Crippler Chris Benoit, Sabu landed on his neck and broke it. That wasn’t enough to stop him though, as he was able to return to wrestle again, truly earning his death-defying moniker.
6 z; d7 A1 m/ }7 \As of yet, there has been nothing he has endured that could stop him. During a match with Sandman, Sabu had his jaw broken. Showing his toughness, the suicidal one actually duck taped his jaw shut, and continued the match.

ECW was the proving grounds for Sabu, showing the world just how extreme ECW, and Sabu were. Anyone who ever faced Sabu knew that they were in for a match that most likely would end in pain and bloodshed for all those involved, even Sabu.
