After these years,Rick Steiner has concluded that he doesn't like bullying.The revelation peculiar,coming from a man who used clobber foes with his clothesline (he called his variation the Steinerline).pushing them with a particularly brutal bulldog,and powerslam them into the hard canvas.
When Rick Steiner was together with his brother,"Big Poppa Pump"Scott Steiner,the agony was even wrose.The due would devastate foes,and frequently set them up for Scott's patented hurricanrana,dubbed the Frankensteiner.
But Rick Steiner now personifies the fact that men can evolve over time.As a parent and connerned citizen of Cherokee County,Georgia,he's praised the school district's anti-bullying program.He also want to see developers donate sides to the school system,and educators to be given more time to learn more about pioneering teaching technologies.
Apparently,a lot of his neighbors agree with him.In November,the "Dog-Faced Gremlin" was appointed tothe local school board.
"Twenty years of building the name of Rick Steiner paid off,"he says.
After forming partnership with Sting and Mike Rotundo,among others,Rick entered WWE in late 1992 with Scott.They were soon mixing it up with grapping behemoths like Ludvig Broga,Crash and Yokozuna.They also received a more light-hearted education from the likes of Curt "Mr.Perfect"Henning,Mr Fuji and other notorious practical jokers.
"Every day,someone's pants legs were snipped while he was out in the ring,"Rick says."Every day the back of somebody's suit was cut off.It was always something.Backstage was as entertaining as the stuff on TV."
The Steiners' most memorable rivalr in WWE involved Money,Inc.,which consisted of "Million-Dollar man"Ted Dibiase and Rotundo(then using the alias,Irwin R.Schyster,or IRS).
In June 1993,for instance,the Steiners capturned the World Tag Team titles from Money,Inc. on two separate occasions.
They also appeared in ECW,WCW and Japan,where Rick was greatly respected for his strength,amateur
knowledge and well-cultivated athletcism.
After the sale of WCW to WWE,Rick rekindled his interest in education.Which was his major in college.
"Wrestling always seemed more glamorous than,say,substitute teaching,"he says."But now,I reached
a crossroads.My kids wre growing up,and I decided to work on thingsthat mattered to people's families."
He also acquired his real estate license,and is said to be holding his own in that highly competitive arena.
Peers in his new profession describe him as an honest broker - and never a bully.
